Thursday nights at 21st Amendment Gastrobar now have a name: House Party Pls.

Running every Thursday on the second floor club space at 21A, Indiranagar, House Party Pls is a weekly residency hosted and headlined by Jonas Monteiro. The concept draws directly from the name: the atmosphere of a great house party, scaled up and moved into a proper venue. Games, karaoke, complimentary drinks for the ladies, and a DJ set built around reading the room. It is the kind of night that keeps filling out week after week because the last one was 'worth it'.

Here is what a Thursday looks like from the inside:

The Karaoke Set

Every House Party Pls opens with karaoke: not as a pre-party warm-up, but as the centrepiece of the opening two hours.

Jonas hosts the mic. The format is open: anyone in the room can step up, pick their song, and perform to a crowd that is genuinely in their corner from the first note. What builds quickly is the collective energy. By the second or third performer, the floor is already singing along. By the time the best singer of the night is decided, the room is loud in a way that's hard to manufacture.

The karaoke set is where the social dynamics of the night take shape. Strangers connect over a shared performance. The room shifts from a collection of separate groups into something more cohesive—and that shift is exactly what the DJ set needs to land.

The Games

Running alongside the karaoke, and active through the full night, are the party games: Giant Jenga, foosball, beer pong. These are not filler. They are a deliberate design decision. A great house party gives people something to do beyond standing around, and House Party Pls applies that same logic at venue scale.

The games tables consistently draw cross-group interaction. Strangers find themselves on opposite sides of a foosball match. A long-shot beer pong throw turns into a crowd moment. The games floor is where the socialising happens in a way that a packed dancefloor rarely allows.

The DJ Set

When the karaoke set wraps, Jonas moves behind the decks. By that point, the room has already done most of the heavy lifting: people have talked, played, sung together. What follows is a DJ set built to capture that collective energy and take it somewhere. The format runs commercial and hip-hop, responsive to what the room is generating rather than scripted in advance.
